You love him completely. You trust her entirely. But the signs are there, and an nagging voice in the back of your mind won’t let suspicions go.
You hate yourself for being so doubtful, but you can’t beat the feeling that something is wrong.
Much as you deny it, you know your spouse is cheating when…
1. Phone calls are too personal for you to overhear and phone bills shoot up.
2. He runs to the shower as soon as he gets home, even before he hugs or kisses you.
3. She smells of a perfume you know she doesn’t own.
4. You overhear him giggling on the phone while he’s with his “boss” who seems to be calling every hour for some reason.
5. Business trips, meetings and other official unavoidable things pop up every other day.
6. She’s happier, cheerier and hums as she does the dishes even though you forgot her birthday and anniversary this year.
7. Your spouse no longer cares that you’re always working overtime, on weekends and are never home.
8. His credit card bills have shot up and the billed items include leisure activities you can’t recall enjoying.
9. The lines at the ATM and grocery stores are always suspiciously longer when he pops out for small errands.
10. She’s gotten fitter, tanned and is looking hotter at 40+ than she did in her 20’s.
11. He’s suddenly obsessing over a new hobby and devoting way too many hours as well as $$$ on it.
12. You’ve gradually drifted apart and no longer chat or do things together.
13. You’ve drifted so far apart, you don’t even know each other’s friend circles.
14. She’s crankier than ever.
15. He’s so sickeningly sweet these days, you want to bash him with the thorny roses he’s filling the house with!
16. Wait a second…is that a new phone number or bank/email account that you didn’t know about?
17. You find hot new (but used at least once) lingerie that she hasn’t tempted you with. Same applies to new jewelery you haven’t seen her flaunt.
18. He seems to come home just to go to bed.
19. You no longer seem to have sex (at least not together).
20. You’re suddenly getting wild, steaming sex…he’s doing and demanding things that you didn’t know he could dream of!
If the tell tale signs have lingered long enough, and you smell something rat-like, maybe it’s time to call ‘Foul’ and hand him the red card.
